India Safaris

Why You Should Visit India

India offers an extraordinary wildlife safari experience, home to iconic species like the majestic Bengal tiger, elusive leopards, Asiatic lions, and unique creatures such as sloth bears and barasingha deer.

With diverse landscapes ranging from the dense jungles of Kanha and Bandhavgarh to the rugged terrain of Ranthambore and the wetlands of Kaziranga, every safari promises incredible encounters. India’s rich biodiversity, combined with its fascinating history and vibrant culture, makes a wildlife safari here an unforgettable adventure.

The best time for a wildlife safari in India is between October and April when the weather is cooler, and vegetation is sparser, making it easier to spot animals. March to May is ideal for tiger sightings as they gather around waterholes, though temperatures can be high.

Kanha is not only home to an abundance of wildlife but is specifically famous for its tiger population, making it an ideal spot for sightings. After arriving, enjoy your first game drive in this tiger sanctuary.

Day 3: In Kanha National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive in search of the elusive Bengal tiger. Kanha is one of the best places in the world to observe tigers in their natural habitat. The vast landscapes, dense forests, and open meadows provide an ideal setting for spotting these magnificent animals. You will also encounter other wildlife such as leopards, wild boar, and deer while being guided by expert naturalists. A picnic breakfast will be served in the wild to immerse you fully in the safari experience.

Day 4: In Kanha National Park

Continue your tiger search with another day of game drives. Kanha is often referred to as the “N’Gorongoro of India” due to its spectacular grasslands and forests. The park’s tiger population is thriving here, and the opportunity to spot these majestic predators is unparalleled. Enjoy the beauty of the landscape while keeping a keen eye out for tigers, sloth bears, and over 300 bird species.

Optional: visit a nearby village to explore the culture of the Gond and Baiga tribes.

Day 5: Kanha to Bandhavgarh National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bandhavgarh National Park, one of the most famous tiger reserves in India. Bandhavgarh is known for having one of the highest concentrations of tigers in the world.
